Agate Fossil Beds National Monument

24 mi. S. of Harrison on NE Hwy 29 - The visitors center and museum contain Miocene Era paleontology exhibits and American Indian artifacts. The park includes upper Niobrara River wetlands in a High Plains ecosystem. Open year-round, daily, 8am-4pm. Open until 6pm during summer. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years Day.
