Enjoy 3-D and 2-D educational and entertaining films on the Lied Super Screen, presenting some of the best digital audio and visual experiences in central Nebraska. View full dome astronomy shows in the Planetarium. Featured exhibits: Wildlife Diorama Hall, People of the Plains, Serial Collection of more than 200 birds (largest in Nebraska), Lock-Stock-&-Barrel with more than 500 firearms, Coin Vault, Rocks-Minerals-&-Fossils, Traveling in Style-Antique Vehicles, Insects-Reptiles-Sea Life, Cretaceous Sea, and Where We Live. The East Gallery features changing exhibits from local and regional interests as well as national traveling exhibits. Get interactive with the Kool-Aid exhibit and learn about its roots in Hastings, scheduled to re-open Aug 10, 2012. Open Mon-Thu, 9am-5pm; Fri-Sat, 9am-8pm; Sun, Noon-6pm. Closed on Mon, Sep-May.
